Say hello to America’s sweetheart! Jennifer Lawrence returned home to her native Kentucky

for the holidays, where she spent Christmas Eve surprising kids at a local children’s

hospital in Louisville.

The Hunger Games star’s low-key visit to the Kosair Children’s Hospital was unannounced, but

multiple heartwarming photos from her appearance surfaced on Twitter.

The Oscar winner dressed casually for the special outing in a loose cream button-down blouse

and black skinny jeans, as she met with several families.

The star — who visited the same children’s hospital last year, too — has invaluable

experience working with kids. In a 2010 interview with the Los Angeles Times, the star

revealed that she once served as an assistant nurse at a children’s summer day camp run by

her parents. “It’s impossible to shock me or gross me out,” the actress mused.
